Project Description

Founded about 60 years ago in 1949, Los Angeles Harbor College (LAHC) began as a technically-oriented college serving the South Bay Region of Los Angeles. Currently, there are about 10,000 students enrolled in a wide spectrum of vocational, community service and transfer programs. About $449 million dollars was allocated to LAHC for the upgrade of campus classroom technology (smart classrooms), repair and renovation of many of the existing buildings, and the construction of new educational and administrative facilities to accommodate the growing demands of the surrounding communities served by the 65 acre campus. The new Library and Learning Resource Center and the new Child Development Center are just two examples of the continuing development and growth of LAHC.
