Project Description
Mission College (LAMC) was founded in 1975 on a 33 acre site in in the San Fernando Valley. As part of the LACCD $6.2 billion dollar construction bond programs, Mission was allocated $435 million dollars to address some of campus deferred maintenance issues, renovate and remodel some of the existing buildings, and to construct new buildings to meet increasing demand to expand and update much of the current curriculum. The Culinary Arts Institute, the Center for Child Development Studies and Child Development Center, and the Health PE and Fitness Center, are just a few examples of the more than 21 new construction, modernization, accessibility and site improvements projects included in the College's capital improvement program.
